The Simpsons - Fortnite Animation 👀
An animation inspired by the Fortnite x The Simpsons collaboration.

The Simpsons Animation is an experimental recreation inspired by the Fortnite x The Simpsons transition. I made it out of curiosity: I wanted to understand how a seemingly simple animation can feel so fluid when scale, scrolling, and timing work together.
This was a learning-focused project centered on GSAP, ScrollTrigger, and visual composition. The Simpsons theme also gave me room to play with custom SVGs and a more expressive aesthetic.
## Stack & decisions
- Astro — It gave me a simple structure for assembling the experience and focusing on animation.
- GSAP and ScrollTrigger — I used them to synchronize scale, position, and opacity with scrolling while controlling each part of the transition.
- Figma — I used it to prepare custom SVG assets and gain more control over the visual elements.
## What I built
- I animated The Simpsons logo through a dramatic ScrollTrigger-controlled scale change.
- I practiced GSAP timelines with simultaneous scale, x, y, opacity, and duration animations.
- I learned to prepare visual assets in Figma so the motion had stronger intent from the design stage.
## Keep exploring
